Oklahoma Statutes Title 47 § 11-904
The State of Oklahoma lays out serious penalties for those who are convicted of DUI that causes great injury to another individual. Great injury is defined as physical injury to another that creates a risk of death, or causes permanent disfigurement, impairment, or loss of a bodily member or organ.
The penalties for DUI with injury are laid out as follows:
First Offense
- Misdemeanor charges
- Minimum of 90 days to a maximum of 1 year in county jail
- Maximum fine of $2,500
Second Offense
- Felony charges
- Minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 5 years in a state prison
- Maximum fine of $5000
